Jillina Barrera, CMT
Jillina Barrera is a graduate of the National Holistic Institute of San Jose. She attended the core program in 2018 and the Advanced Neuromuscular program in 2019, graduating with honors.
Jillina entered the world of massage to help people in pain. She views body pain as a multi-faceted problem affecting people of all ages, backgrounds, and fitness levels.
Jillina creates customized plans to restore health and wellness, starting with each client’s health history. From there, she will conduct a series of range of motion tests to determine the individual’s dysfunction and compensation and help identify the root cause of their condition. Post-evaluation, she will suggest the proper course of treatment and corrective action. If there’s time available, start bodywork… which all clients appreciate.
Once a competitive ballroom dance instructor, Jillina remains an active member of the Ballroom community. This experience shows Jillina the importance of balance and healthy body movement. She understands the struggle of breaking bad postural and compensatory habits and strives to help others reeducate and rehabilitate their muscular and structural afflictions.
